Quilting Ministry

For at least twenty years there has been a group who have gathered during the winter months to quilt. Several quilts are hand stitched every year for the United Mennonite Home clients so they have warm, colorful blankets/comforters on their beds.

On top of that, approximately 100 quilts are tied annually and forwarded to Mennonite Central Committee to be sent overseas to refugee camps and those in need. This ministry continues even though many of our group are well over 80 years old because the need for these quilts knows no end.

If you have experience or not, and would like to help with sewing or tying quilts, please contact the church office to find out when the next opportunity to serve in this ministry is happening. We are always happy to have community folks join us… both men and women are welcome. Click on the Home page’s “Calendar of Events” for quilting days/times.
